A red heart symbolizing the root of beliefs, desires, and volition that are interpreted through experiences, producing words, actions, and emotions as fruit, either godly or sinful.

The Heart (Roots & Fruits)

Our heart is central to our very being and contains what we believe, desire, and choose. This includes what we believe about God, ourselves, other people, our experiences, the purpose of life, etc. The same is true about all our desires and all the choices we make. They are all found in our heart and interact within one another in a way that impacts how we interpret and respond to all of life. It is from our heart that our words, actions, and emotions flow. Even our response to suffering is tied to the beliefs, desires, and volitions of our heart. Having a biblical understanding of the heart is vital for our personal growth and our ability to help others grow.
